Haul: The Body Shop

My Body Shop Haul! -Amber-

The Body Shop recently had a 50% off all bath and body products and so I figured that this was the time to stock up on some stuff and try a bunch of new things. I've been on a bar soap kick lately and I got each bar for $2 each which I thought was awesome.

Amazonian Wild Lily Shower Gel

 A while back when I went to Marshall's, I found some discounted Body Shop stuff, one of them was a body wash called Earth Lovers and it was Lemon and Thyme scent and I love it! Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere that I've looked anymore so I decided to try Amazonian Wild Lily since its in the same container style as the Lemon and Thyme was so I figured it would be a similar consistency shower gel. Can't wait to try it!

Sweet Lemon Shower Gel

Since that other shower gel I loved so much was lemon scented, I REALLY went on a lemon spree. I wanted everything lemon scent! That's why the only other large size shower gel I bought is lemon.

The Gang

Strawberry, Satsuma, and Chocomania Soap

Now, I'm sure the strawberry soap is going to smell nice, I wasn't sure what Satsuma is so we'll find out (it had good ratings), and Chocomania I really just wanted to try, I was thinking I might not like it but we will see.

Pink Grapefruit, Sweet Lemon, and Olive Soap

 Here's another lemon scented thing! I got pink grapefruit because I figured it would be nice and I only ended up getting the Olive soap because it has great reviews. I would probably not have purchased it otherwise because...well, olive? Will that smell good? All I can think of are green olives with red garnish in the middle that I think are gross, haha! Can't wait to try it now though.

So, my next challenge? Deciding which of these soaps to open first. Yikes!

The Product

I think this is a good product, especially for the price being only $5. It adds a nice element to washing your face. Instead of just pushing face wash around with your hands, these little scrubbies help massage your face and get the cleanser nice and worked in while still being quite gentle.

The only downsides for me are that the suction cup on the back is both the only thing to hold on to, and it doesn't stick to my mirror for as long as I'd like. Neither of these things is a huge deal, it's not exactly that hard to hold onto, just a tad flimsy while you're scrubbing, and I just store it in my medicine cabinet instead of hanging it up.

I would recommend giving this product a try. It's probably the most inexpensive, basic facial cleansing tool out there but it works quite nice!

I liked this product so much that I gave it as a gift to my mom. My husband keeps stealing it too!
The bristles are not too soft or too firm, and it's got a little section of shorter nubbies that can be good for more sensitive areas. Exfoliation is great for minimizing blackheads and this really keeps the ones on my nose barely noticeable (since it's pretty much impossible to get rid of them completely).

This scrubby turns any face wash into an exfoliating one and thanks to that I can save money on additional products, and it also helps with my dry patches. Afterwards my face feels stimulated and I feel like my lotion really soaks into the clean skin. I love this product and until I can afford to splurge on a Clairisonic, it really keeps my face clean and clear of makeup.

I'm Amber, I'm 24 and from Arizona. I have very sensitive and dry skin. I love to try new products and I wish I had unlimited funds to shop all the time, but that might take all the fun out of getting new things every so often. (Yeah, I'll just keep telling myself that.)

I consider myself a beginner at makeup but I like to try and it's fun to experiment with it. Hopefully through this blog I will get better so lets get started, I have a lot of work to do.








And I'm Kylie, I'm 23 (for one more month!) and Amber is my best friend. I just started getting into makeup this past year or so and I've been loving every day of it! Amber and I don't get to see each other as often as we'd like, so this is a great way for us to enjoy our hobby together.

My skin type is dry like a desert with flaky patches. My skin tone is just a little off, with some redness in my cheeks and nose. And I have neutral undertones so I can wear both yellow and pink, but I think my skin favors yellow.
